Taught at Helena Government Primary School Mahaica, East Coast Demerara, for three years from 1967 to 1970, Received a Certificate for voluntary service for self-help on the road to Brazil. Worked at America Life Insurance from 1971-1973, Received top of the Award Certificate as a member of the Eastern Caribbean Life Contest in 1972, Received a certificate by attending; the 2nd Eastern Caribbean Seminar with American Life in 1973, G.T.M Insurance Company from 1974 to 1976 as Sale Representative, Hand-in-Hand Insurance Company from 1976 to 1978. Established Pete's Auto and Real Estate Service in 1979, Established Pete's video Club in four regions, regions 3,4, 5, and 6 in 1982, Established Wee Place Hotel/Bar in 1984 now known as Club Martini Hotel/Bar still owns. 1989- Membership with the International Real Estate Institute in Arizona, U.S.A. 1989- Double qualified as a Life Insurance Representative with Demerara Life Assurance; went to Caracas, Venezuela, with his wife at the Hilton hotel for a one-week Convention; as part-time Representative. 1990-Received designation as S.C.V. - Senior Certified Valuator and R.I.M- Registered International Member, with the International Real Estate Institute. 1990-Registered PETE'S REAL ESTATE & CO- Extensive participation in Sales, Valuation, buying/ selling Real Estate, and Property management. 14th Dec, 1990-Launched Pete's Caribbean Fusion Band with two groups of thirty artistes. 1991-Pete's Promotions Cultural events throughout the coastal Belt inclusive of pageants for twelve consecutive years. 1991-Formation of the 1st REAL ESTATE Association which was launched by the late Dr. Cheddi Jagan. Did over four hundred Valuations and has written numerous articles on Real Estate which were published in the newspapers. 2018- Pete's Real Estate was selected to receive the award for Gold Category by Century International Quality, E.RA Award in Genera, Switzerland for leadership, quality, Innovation, and Excellence for Real Estate Service in Guyana.
